Dear Beachwood Families,

As we wrap up another incredible school year, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our students, families, and staff for making the 2025–2026 school year such a success at Beachwood Elementary.

I am especially proud to share that Beachwood Elementary has once again been recognized by the Washington State School Recognition Program. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Beachwood has earned this prestigious achievement. Being recognized four years in a row is a testament to the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the unwavering support of our families. This honor reflects our collective commitment to helping every student grow academically and reach their full potential.

As many of you know, I will be transitioning to a new role next year. Serving as principal of Beachwood has been one of the greatest honors of my career. I am incredibly grateful for the relationships we have built, the challenges we have overcome together, and the many successes we have celebrated as a school community.

I am excited to introduce Beachwood's new principal, Barbie Gonzalez, who will officially begin her role on July 1. Mrs. Gonzalez brings a wealth of experience, a passion for student success, and a deep commitment to building strong relationships with students, families, and staff. I know she will continue the great work happening at Beachwood and lead our school with care, dedication, and enthusiasm. Please join me in giving her a warm Beachwood welcome.
