Dear Beachwood Families,
What an incredible start to the school year! Seeing more than 700 students, family members, and staff at our Bobcats Meet & Greet was a wonderful reminder of what makes Beachwood such a special place. The excitement, laughter and smiles throughout our school reflected the strong sense of community that makes Beachwood shine.
As we welcome students back, our goal is simple: every child should feel safe, valued, connected, and inspired to learn. Our theme this year, Anchored in Learning: Sailing for Success, reflects our belief that strong relationships, high expectations, and meaningful learning experiences help every Bobcat discover their strengths and reach their full potential.
At Beachwood, we teach and model what it means to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. During the first weeks of school, students will learn and practice these expectations, so they feel confident and ready for success. We also ask families to help by ensuring students arrive on time each day, ready to begin learning at 8:10 a.m. A strong start to the day helps students make the most of every learning opportunity. School is dismissed at 2:40 p.m.
As the seasons change, please remember that students enjoy outdoor recess every day. A labeled jacket or sweatshirt with a hood will help keep your Bobcat comfortable and ready for outdoor fun. Speaking of fun, on Fridays we invite everyone to wear blue and gold or their favorite Bobcat gear.
One of Beachwood's greatest strengths is our partnership with families. Whether you are volunteering, attending events, communicating with teachers, following along through ParentSquare, or cheering us on from afar, your involvement helps strengthen our school community and supports student success.
Thank you for trusting us with your children. It is truly an honor to serve this remarkable school community. Together, we are building a place where every student can learn, grow, and thrive.
Happy September, Bobcats!
Warmly,
Barbie Gonzalez
